The First Mile - Training this Sunday at 8:00 AM - Valley Green

GROUP TRAINING

RUN TEAM - SUNDAY, JULY 8TH – VALLEY GREEN: I will be there so please let me know if you need me to bring anything from the office. Also, please bring along your recommitment paperwork if you have it completed.

WALK TEAM – BUDDY WALK: Have a great weekend and please let your coaches know if you have any training questions, and contact me if you are need of anything.

I hope that everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July holiday! I know there are a lot of things going on with it being summer and all but I encourage you to make room for as many Team In Training things as your schedule will allow. We had over 70 people at group training last weekend at Kelly Drive (and others at the Bucks County one) and it is great to have such a large groups out there. If you are in town come out to training this Sunday, or else attend the Hero Gathering this Monday (details below) or the nutrition clinic that is coming up soon. All of these things are designed to help you through your TNT experience and to also make it a whole lot of fun! I know how much effort and dedication it takes to be a participant of this program and we can't thank you enough for all that you have done and will continue to do. Keep training, keep fundraising and keep making a difference in our mission! Together we will find a cure!

TRAINING SHIRTS

Due to the holiday these didn't go out in the mail yet. I will once again have them with me at training this weekend and will definitely put them in the mail Monday if you still haven't gotten your white TNT training shirt from when you registered.

About Me

I became involved with Team In Training during the Spring 2007 season by training for the New Jersey Marathon in Long Branch, New Jersey. Prior races include several 5K and 10K events, and one half marathon. Training for an endurance event takes a lot of commitment, courage, and vision. Looking back on my casual running experience for the past two decades, I never imagined training for a marathon! Through Team In Training, I found a great training program, developed new friendships, and made a significant impact by raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma from taking more lives. I am continually inspired by our featured team heroes and the personal stories from friends, family, and teammates that were shared during my initial fundraising for the cause. Please enjoy reading the past stories of my experience.
